CHALLENGE

As an international bank, Scotiabank needed to overhaul a total of 21 banking websites across the Caribbean and Latin America. Each site had to be mobile optimized, user friendly, and consistent with the Scotiabank brand.

APPROACH

Excited by the complexity of this challenge, Usability Matters took the reins and drove the project forward at every level. We took on site design and architecture, project management, copyediting, content migration, development and deployment in an enterprise-scale legacy CMS, and quality end user acceptance testing.

The target audiences were “mobile first,” but the existing design was desktop only. A major success of this project was our ability to devise a way to reverse engineer responsive page designs from Scotiabank’s original desktop optimized templates.
